FCKeditor - HtmlSpecialChars Problem (Ampersands)
Best I can tell this is a XOOPS implementation issue in FCKeditor. Any special HTML characters cause a cascading effect with the ampersands. For instance, a WYSIWYG quote " will become " in the database as it should be. However, after FCKeditor (in this implementation) pulls it back up, it then displays " in the WYSIWYG side instead of ". The next time it becomes " and then " etc. What I had to do was change fckeditor.php, line 61 from: $HtmlValue = htmlspecialchars( $this->Value ) ; to be these two lines: global $myts; $HtmlValue = $myts->htmlSpecialChars( $this->Value ) ; This is because this XOOPS implementation uses the $myts->undoHtmlSpecialChars function before throwing it back into the database. I'm using XOOPS 2.0.16 on PHP 5.2 and mySQL 4.1
